Capital Funding Newsletter
May 2012
The Capital Funding Committee would like to update those who have escaped the “Sunshine State” and headed to greener pastures north of First Baptist Church of Bushnell. While you have attended and participated in the many activities and programs that the church has provided we want to continue communicating with you with our quarterly newsletter and newly designed website, http://www.fbcbushnell.org.
As our church congregation continues to grow by leaps and bounds there is a large need to branch out and expand our campus in order to better serve the local community. FBC of Bushnell is the lighthouse for the local community and beyond. With multiple ministries and missions, our campus has been in need of additional space to serve these ministries for quite some time. The time is now; we need to begin establishing a firm foundation for what lies ahead.
With interest rates at the lowest levels in history and construction materials priced reasonably, there is no better time than now to begin the necessary framework towards “Live the Vision” campaign. The Building Committee has established a direct correlation with a construction company in developing blueprints, permits, and codes. The preliminaries to launching the new construction of the multipurpose building, that we are calling ‘The Legacy Center”, have been put into place.
The month of April kicked off the campaign of “Live the Vision” with Commitment Sunday and First Fruits. Our goal is to raise 25 percent of the cost of new construction to begin the necessary financing needed so we can make “The Legacy Center” a reality. On Commitment Sunday and First Fruits the church congregation raised $50,095.11 as the platform of the funds needed to begin laying the foundation.
In closing, the Capital Funding Committee would like to thank you in advance for your prayers, thoughts, considerations, and contributions towards making “Live the Vision” the forefront of the future success at FBC of Bushnell. We look forward to hearing back from you as you are traveling, residing, and visiting various locations, friends, and families throughout the nation and beyond. As we continue to grow spiritually we would like for you to continue to pray about the decisions we will be facing as we continue to walk with the Lord.
Sincerely,
James & Amanda Taylor, Roy & Teresa Ponder, Chip Chenoweth, Marie Lovett, Jessica Lackay, Linda Latham, Ernie Brown, and Robin Smith
